Ability Dogs 4 Young People Isle of Wight

And what's your role at Ability Dogs 4 Young People?

Founder & CEO

Which causes do Ability Dogs 4 Young People support and what work do you do?

Training Ability Dogs (assistance dogs) for disabled young people and children on the Isle of Wight.

What sort of things do you use donations for?

Donations help towards training, food and equipment for our Ability Dogs and puppies.

What have you worked on that you're most proud of?

We are celebrating 10 years this year (2022). Since our launch, we have helped over 200 disabled young people and children.

What are the biggest challenges still to overcome?

We are a small charity and we are expanding to meet the growing need for Ability Dogs.

Fundraising is a big challenge too.

We also rely on volunteers, particularly as Puppy Parents for our training puppies. We always need more volunteers.

Other than donating, what’s the one thing people can do to support your charity and its mission?

Volunteer!
